Why can you buy Easter baskets on food stamps?

I hate this fucking system that perpetuates these lazy assed baby mamas.

If you can't pay cash for a basket, your kids don't deserve one.

I think they figure since people can still buy the basket at a dollar store and fill it up with candy bought with food stamps, they may as well they allow the premade baskets. People can get the prefilled stockings too at Christmas. That must warm the cockles of your heart huh

Kids still deserve Easter.
I would however try to find something more creative.

You can't buy them here. It depends on how your state does things. I saw a woman flipping out on the cashier at Rite Aid today because she couldn't buy plastic eggs that had candy in them with her FS. The manager said that anything with a non edible aspect can't be purchased with FS.

Don't forget they can buy the food gifts too like the baskets with sausage and cheese, fruit baskets, the hot cocoa with mugs, etc. LMAO that must really fill OP with the warm and fuzzies

No idea... but I agree that shouldn't be allowed... Kids should be able to have Easter; but on the gov't dime? There are alot of community outreaches that provide easterbaskets. If they are on Snap; they should be needing food not candy...
