My DH is making an effort to not lose me!

Tonight my DH came to me after we had a wailing fight a few hours earlier over something very stupid. He told me that he feels like he's losing me, he loves me more than anything else in the world, and he wants to do the following-

We have 30 minutes of alone time every night during the week just talking about our day. No kids, no tv, no iPhones, no laptops, etc. just us!

We make love at least once a week even if we have to make an appointment and lock the bedroom door.

He will call me at work at least twice a day even if it's just for 30 seconds to say hi.

The biggest issue of late has been lack of communication and he feels this will help tremendously. I agreed to try this. Thoughts?

He is trying.  Take full advantage and try, too.

It sounds good - it's what our therapist actually told us years ago when we went.

Along with a date night at least once a week.  And doing something on our own (hobby, sport, whatever) at least once a week as well.

He told me tonight he loves me and appreciates me now more than he ever did. He also told me he's been waking up in the middle of the night jerking off while staring at me and tells me I look sexy as hell of late (he knows if he wakes me in the middle of the night I'll kill him).

I am somewhat skeptical let him prove me wrong (I am happy to be wrong).

That is good to say and hear, but getting it accomplished is the biggest task. My dh in october said the same stuff, and counseling, but it didnt last long, as soon as he felt comfortable, he started acting the same distant, loner, etc. I hope you are able to reconnect and keep it going.
