I ONLY TAKE MY SON TO THE DOCTOR WITH COLDS IF HE WON'T AT LEAST KEEP HYDRATED OR HE STARTS WHEEZING OR BREATHING FUNNY BECAUSE HE HAS ASTHMA AND SO IF HIS BREATHING CHANGES IT CONCERNS ME.  I DON'T TAKE MY SON TO THE DOCTOR FOR EVERY LITTLE THING BUT I AM VERY CAREFUL AND PROTECTIVE THEN AGAIN I HAVE TO BE WHEN YOUR DH'S EX WIFE CALLS CPS ON YOU ABOUT EVERY 3 MONTHS ITS A GOOD THING TO HAVE YOUR CHILD'S DOCTOR IN YOUR CORNER.

nope.  only if dd has a high fever and lethargic or i think she has an infection (because of fever/lethargy).  other than that, i let her ride it out and give her even more TLC than she already gets

i use saline nasal spray with b12 in it for minor colds. or flush both nostrils with a nasal aspirator fillled with saline water for minor colds. give pentavite liquid multivitamisn with iron everyday. homepathic cold medicines made for infants/toddlers/children that is sold in shops.

I marked other.
Just a cold....no.
Just a cold and fever I can treat....no.
Just a cold and green snot......not generally.

Cold symptoms+lethargy+fever of over 24 hours.....yes

But, for me a "fever" is 101.5 or higher. Below that I won't treat it provided my children are acting ok. I want their bodies to fight the infection

Exactly, I was given hell for not taking my son to the doctor with a cold. He had no fever, clear mucus, and no cough. I was told I should have taken him to get antibiotics. Hello antibiotics kill bacteria not a virus like a cold.
