I am so pissed and fed up with my daughter! Her room is beyond messy. Its disgusting! And she is wrecking the new carpet. We have been over and over this. I really don't know how the hell it gets this bad so fast! She is 17 yrs old. Time to take some responsibility!

And to make it worse she has my Cafemom mug. I've told her she can use any other mug but that one! She isn't even supposed to have food in her room!

I don't know what else to do. I ground her, take privileges away and so on. Its so frustrating! At this age I shouldn't have to tell her to clean her room!

I don't have a teen so I don't have any good advice. Good luck though!

Typical teen IMO- that's how MY room looked, that's how my DS's room looks (he will be 17 this week), & one of my DD's got it from me too. I agree- they are too old to be told to clean. But look at it this way- they won't want a bf/gf in the room with it that messy! LOL (I hope)

Wow that is bad. I'd clean it by throwing her shit away and putting the good stuff in the garage. If she wants to live like an animal she can use her things outside.
