My MIL held my DS before I did when he was born.

I don't really remember it much, but apparently I almost fell off of the bed so while dh was helping me out MIL got to hold our son. I don't really remember a good chunk of the birth since I was drugged up to prevent the pressure on my brain from going up as I pushed our son out. I was going to have a c-section but Ds came a little quicker than anticipated.

UGH DONT REMIND ME! I had a c section and while I was in recovery my mom and MIL got to hold my daughter. I was very very pissed and to this day I could cry about it.

I think everybody in the room got to hold my oldest when he was born. I was busy getting 12 stitches.

My mother held my son before me, I didn't feel it was her place, and I had to ask her to hand him to me.

My family all held my 4 year old before I did because I tore so badly and was bleeding so badly. I was taken to the OR and to stop the bleeding and sew me up. I didn't even get to see or hold him for 2 hours. It was an awful experience!
