I have a gardener and a housekeeper now. We used to have three when the children were small and we needed a nanny, but we haven't needed one for a long time now.

I was just wondering how normal this was, and I know this is odd, but if you do,could you answer what race they were?

We have a weekly housekeeper. My SO does the yard work for relaxation.

Just us.  No outside help.  We do all of the cooking, cleaning, yard work, kid raising and whatever else you can think of all on our own.

Why would I pay someone to do something I can do myself? It seems like a waste of money.

Do you buy eggs? Why? It's easy enough to have a chicken.

Do you buy bread? why? it's easy enough to bake your own.

Do you pay someone to rotate your tires?

There's thousands of things we pay other people to do that we could do ourselves. It saves time to have someone else do it.

My husband brings in the money, I do all the housekeeping, yardwork, gardening (very few flowers, lots of veggies), and we both do home improvements.  While he digs up the front yard for our driveway, I'll be tearing down the deck in the backyard, getting ready to install a concrete patio!  We wouldn't hire anyone unless we absolutely could not do it properly ourselves.

No one. Just us. But we've been thinking about hiring someOne to come once a week to do things that are more laborous.. Like scrubbing grout, showers, baseboards, hand cleaning floors.. The twins are turning two this month and im running out of available time to do much more than regular household things.
