Well? Do you?

EDIT

If you think it is dangerous...

. If a child is in his room, he cant get out to get hurt.

if there is a fire, the firemen prefer the child to be in his room so they can get to him easier.

If its dangerous to lock him in his room....do you not lock your house doors?

whats the difference?

EDIT 2

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DISCAPLINE.

WHy was that the first response on 90% of ya'll mind?! lol

Im talking about at NIGHT TIME. when you are sleeping.

You dont lock in your kids in t heir rooms because its dangerous....

so...your kitchen, living room, etc, are not dangerous?

What dangers could be found inside the childs room, compared to outside the childs room, while you sleep.

(FYI, i do  NOT lock my children in their rooms. this is purely for discussion)

And about getting to your child, i dont know a single inside door that i cant break through to get to my child if there was an emergency. If for some reason i couldnt unlock the door.

OH and i keep hearing everyone say ' no its dangerous'

but have yet to hear WHY.

Or any true examples.

Hell no. What's the point? I have taught my children to follow the rules. They do for the most part but when they don't a timeout on their bed with the door open so that I can watch them does just fine. I believe when you lock them in a room all you are doing is forcing them to do what you want. Not teaching them to do the right thing. You are controlling if they come out or not. You are not teaching them to control themselves.
