I noticed a small (pea sized) lump on the back, right hand side of my neck today. I don't know if its a knot or what... I'm freaking out a little., I'm going to make an appt for next week but I wondered if anyone had any idea what it might be?

Most likely just found your lymph node. Is it painful?

No. I thought it was a knot so I was trying to rub it out and now it's just a little tender from me kneading it...
I've had bad allergies lately- could those cause it to swell or something?

Mine swell when I'm starting to get an infection. I know not much help. I would give it a day and see how it feels. Pea sized isn't very big. Mine were size of quarters when I had a bad infection

Most likely a harmless staph infection. Dont mess with it until you see your doctor or a swollen lymph node..

It's under my skin... Not like a pimple or something.

My daughter had lymph node that swelled up because it got infected with staph and she had to get it drained under anethstesia. I had a swollen lymph node under my armpit which turned out to be staph and had to be lanced open. They dont always look like a pimple
