Do you realize that the law offers you zero protection if your boyfriend leaves you or dies? You aren't entitled to alimony or social security death benefits. Very foolish IMO.

Easier to push out a baby than make a man commit?

Not everyone is concerned about alimony or planning for death. Maybe they have a nice life insurance policy?

Marriage isn't for everyone.

I would never move in with a man before marriage but that's just me and my values. I realize not everyone has the same standards

Did you even read the OP? It says that being not being married offers little protection, not that marriage is a necessary first step.

Who really cares?

It's called having a big life insurance policy. 

Not everyone wants to be married. Who sits around planning for death? You just take it day by day and deal with it when it happens. No sense in worrying about the future since nothing is ever promised. Stupid post IMO.
