Liberals only liberal when it comes to what you do in your bedroom

Has the term liberal as defined by the dictionary changed over the years?

Today Liberals endorse censorship from books to movie productions and back bans on sugary drinks, what happens in your car and how you educate your children.  It seems to me that the only thing they want to be `liberal' about is anything sex or abortion related.

I'm liberal and I don't agree with censoring books or anything. I don't want to ban any food or drink. I don't care how you educate your children. Don't care if you vax or not. Don't want to ban guns. Don't care who you marry or how many people you marry. And I don't care what you do in your home or car, unless your smoking with children in it because because everyone has a right to their health.

Not true.  I'm a liberal.  I don't support ANY type of censorship or movies. I don't support helmet or seat belt or car seat laws (although you'd be an idiot not to use them).  I don't support gun bans EXCEPT for assault rifles (and yes, I know the difference).  Nor do I believe in long term PA.  I believe you should work for what you have, and if you don't have enough - work harder.

And I believe in birth control - don't think parental notification should be required.  Not for abortions either.

So - I'm all over the map.

Yes, very hypocritical...but not surprising.

Conservatives want the government legislating everything, from what goes on in you bedroom, to what happens in your uterus. Then they complain about big government....wtf?

Funny, I am a liberal libertarian and I believe in gun rights, except assault weapons.  No use for those at all after being trained in them.

Quoting JanineDeer:

It seems the liberals don't want to be very liberal with us having the right own guns either!!!!

Except the libertarians? Aren't they FOR gun rights????????  I have to go investigate that party....

Agree competely.  Conservatives have had the biggest growth of the federal government over the last 50 years.  Reagan with the Department of Energy, George W with the Department of Homeland Security.

Plus all those laws trying to regulate and dictate what we can do with our own bodies.  Why can't they just leave it alone and worry about their own body.  Of course beyond that you have them trying to regulate medicinal marijuana. Everything is a new regulation to restrict us.

Did your state ban homeschooling?
Are you not able to choose not to vax in your state?
Does the state force you to get prenatal care in a hospital?
Does the state wrongfully charge people who birth at home and do all they can to ensure the baby's safety?
Does the state force you to make certain rules in your home?
Kids can pray in school.

Quoting Anonymous:

I have the right to homeschool.

I have the right not to vax

I have the right not to get prenatal care in a hospital

I have the right to give birth to our children in my home preferably w/ a midwife present and NOT be prosecuted if complications arise with the birth and the child dies.

I have the right to set rules in my home.

(I do not believe in physical or corporal punishment of any kind).

I do believe that children should be able to pray in school no matter if they pray to Allah, God, whomever...

Law infriging on parental rights are invading my privacy and unduly censoring the way I raise my family.

Can you be more specific?
