Sorry, I don't know how to make it clicky. Basically, NC wants to exempt itself from the Constitution and establish an official religion. Any guesses on what that religion may be?

Reason number 9,462 to move far, far away from here.

I see a Surpreme Court case in their immidate future.

I don't have time to read the article but what effect will that have on the people in NC?

That's discusting! It'll get overturned but I wouldn't want to live in any state that would propose something like this.

Bunch of idiots. I live in the area, not NC but I just moved to TN from KY. KY is pretty bad in those ways too.

I picture NC has a really Christian state....  Like Baptist or something...  Idk.  I have never been there. Lol.

It stems from politicians being mad that they can't publicly pray before meetings. They also want their oen say over public school education, so in turn, they could force religion in school. It says something about athiests not being able to hold office, but I'm not sure if that's already a law or not.

What does that mean for people with religious beliefs that are not Christian?

This isn't going to be a popular opinion but I say if the people of NC want a state religion let them have it. Majority rules, others should move to another state if they don't like it.

Very Baptist. It's like 15 Baptist churches to every 1 of any other denomination.
