Health ins vs. pa

Why do people look down on people who get state ins but pay a monthly premium and co-pays? DH is self employed and makes 32,000 per year. I am self employed and make 18,000 per year. We chose to use the state insurance in Illinois. We do not get FS but we do use Illinois health Connect for ins. We pay the state $80/mo as a premium and have a $10 copayment per visit.

I've never heard of people looking down on that, only on Medicaid where people aren't paying a monthly premium.

I have ky state ins for my kids. I'm unemployed and DH makes $1200 a month and they don't have a premium or co-pays. The only other thing I have is WIC for the kids as well. I'm filing for va insurance

We don't have the state insurance but do qualify, with a premium. We decided on different insurance though.

I have insurance through my work that I pay for. I also went and applied for a KY medical card with no premiums to back up my insurance and pay what my reg insurance doesn't pay. I done this bc I'm pregnant ANd I qualified.
