or was she wrong for asking?

My Hubby's neice has a year old son, and just started a full time job, she asked if I could baby sit her child while she is at work ?, I have 2 special needs boys { one is 10, and other 9 }  I had to decline and tell her it would be difficult, she was not too happy about it.

I see nothing wrong with her asking, and I see nothing wrong with you declining. If she is being a bitch about you declining though, that is wrong

No, if you don't want to watch her kids for any reason that is not wrong. She will get over it.

1 mom liked this

Neither is wrong.  She thinks you are a great parent, and doesn't realize the time needed to take care of your children.  She is wanting what is best for her son, and that is family. She is probably disappointed and a little apprehensive of finding another option. You saying no isn't wrong either.  Doing daycare is a huge time commitment.  You did what is best for your family.

Her child, her responsibility. Not yours.

Lied ?  She has met my boys, and yes they are in school, and them being in school is my only respite, both my boys have severe autism.  She wanted me to baby sit from 8am-5pm
