he works for a large chain grocery store. he is a good worker but the store manager hates him. he has been stuck in his position for 3 years and they just started cutting his hours. he went to his boss and the asstaint manager to get more hours in any department. they said they wold do there best and nothing has happened in weeks. although other people get hours in other departments so it's a commen thing and other departments need help. he has been asking for years to be trained in the two ereas he is missing so he can start applying for managment job in other stores but they dont do it. he is tired of asking. he has time build up with the company and does not want to leave. is it worth it to call the corprite office? what should he do?

Maybe put in a written request other than just asking for it.

he tries all the time and gets blocked. everything has to go through the store manager and he hates dh. he was just up for a better job at a different store. he had a ton of assistant managers giving good refrences, interviewed well and still did not get it. his boss is made to right him up for anything. so far all they can get him for is being a few minutes off on his punches.

i called just to ask some questions and they said they could help. he is afraid that it will make things worse.

if he stuck in this position and his upper managements giving him absolutely no leeway to move up it's time for him to find an entirely new job

i get that but things aren't going to change unless he takes action ya know? and if it does get worse, and doesn't work out...then you guys will figure it out. im sure he doesnt want to leave his job but he deserves better and to be happy.
