I know several child with Autism. All of them are Caucasian. Does it just not affect the other races as much or have I just not met them

my boy is black. he's autistic. it effects other races, just seems they're not as vocal about it as the white parents are.  but this is just my experience, can't speak for others.

I think race has no bearing on it. You probably just live in an area with more white people than any other race.

I've seen it a lot in both races as well as female children.

I work at a place that does a lot of stuff with special needs kids so I've seen all races of autistic children-except Chinese. Not that they don't exist, I've just never seen them.

It slightly higher in whites than blacks... But it's mainly demographics and is probably actually pretty even. Blacks just aren't being tested as much.

I live in a predominately hispanic area.
