potatoes au gratin

What you need:
4 large potatoes
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon flour
4 garlic cloves minced
Plenty of pepper.
Shredded or grated sharp cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400 and butter a baking dish
Peel potatoes then slice them thinly and cut into fourths

In a bowl mix the cream,milk,garlic,flour,salt and pepper.

Layer 1/3 the potatoes in the dish. Then pout 1/3 of the milk mix..repeat twice ending with the milk mix.

Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Then uncover and bake for 20. Continue baking in 5-10 minute increiments until bubbly and browning. Then add cheese and bake long enough to melt cheese.
