Here if a child's family is on fs they automatically get free lunch. All the parents have to do is give the school their case number.

Another post was composed of this same subject and was just deleted,   some of the posters called it double dipping and children should not be allowed a free lunch

Here you automatically qualify for free lunch if your on fs all you have to do is give your case # to verify. We qualified for reduced lunch had to provide pay stubs but k-3 if you qualify for reduced lunch is automatically free.

Kids can't learn if they are hungry. If they qualify then so be it. Again, as long as it isn't being abused.

I disagree.  If you are given funds to feed people healthy, nutritious food for 3 meals a day, you've been given your freebie.

No matter where the money comes from, you are feeding KIDS.  Why are people complaining about kids getting fed?  I don't understand the big controversy. If I had my last 10 dollars and I knew a child was hungry, even a strangers child, I will feed the child. Anyone who doesn't have the heart to make sure a child is fed, even is it's from "government help" is ignorant.

Same thing where I live. I also think that no child should be turned away if they're hungry!
