STARTLED FETUS?!?!

This is NOT a troll or joke post.

Practically every time I fart 9/10 times the baby jumps inside my belly. At first I found it funny... Now I'm worried. Is something wrong for him to be so easily startled? Will he be this way after birth?? I'm 37 weeks and this is my first pregnancy.

Well they can hear in the womb so it's likely the baby heard something loud in its sleep and jumped.

Yep. My ankles snap which has always startled my babies. And one time I farted really loud and one of them jumped, too, which was hilarious!

Of course he can feel/hear what is going on around him.

Why wouldnt he? at 37 weeks he isnt a fetus. he is a full grow child.

and yes he may be easy to startle at first :)

Fulll term.infants have a very strong startle reflex. It's completely normal.
Don't worry Mama. Your baby is perfectly fine. "Advanced" even!

I say fetus on here bc he's still in the belly but you're right. Lol he's a baby now! >.< I just think it's very odd of him to be startled by such a thing.... Loud noises do nothing to him but farts do? Wth....

I thought this was the case but he literally jumps practically every time! Which is often these days -_____-
