Bills? How do you keep up with them?

Extensions and promises to pay?

We are very blessed in that we are able to pay our bills as they come in but as I was at my sisters this morning she has a crazy system set up on her counter with bills this week, call for extensions, pay next month, pay $20 today etc.

How do you do it?

I quit paying my student loan 2 years ago when I got divorced and could no longer afford the payment.  They recently got in contact with me and offered me a payment that is almost half what I was originally paying so now I am back on schedule with that.

Generally pay as they come in, but once and awhile I have to wait a week or so, but they're paid before the due date still. I keep a planner organizer, placing the bills in the calendar section and making note of due dates in the calendar. I like old fashion methods lol.

My bills are perpetually past due. I always pay them before they disconnect though.

As they come in. If for any reason I can't pay one, I use BillFloat. It's kinda a loan. They pay your bill and then in 30 days draft the bill amount and a fee from your acct. Gives you 30 days to come up with the money if you're short.
