Really? There is proof that Jesus was real?

No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people- hearsay. Hearsay does not work as evidence because we have no way of knowing whether the person lied, or simply based his or her information on wrongful belief or bias.

There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. There occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus came well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings.

I agree

The bible is a work of fiction, it has no historical documents to back it up

Many scientists believe they have found evidence that Jesus did exist.

Personally, I think it's cool if he did and honestly, I believe that he not only existed but also had a family of his own.

Can I ask if this sincerely matters to you or are you simply stirring the pot because it's a slow day on MC?

There's physical feeling and belief in my heart. That's all the proof I need.

There are not any artifacts connected to Alexander the Great either, but for some reason we don't question whether or not he was a real person. All that exists of good ole Alexander is what people wrote about him. The same as Jesus.

That he was real isn't the real question.

If he was truly divine is the true question.

Was he really the son of God or was that a cover story to save Mary's life...that went a little too far?
