What did they do?! Can this be fixed?

I was in the bathroom getting ready for an appointment and my 2 year old twins were in the living room watching TV. When I came back in, this is what my TV looked like. Idk what exactly happened but I am assuming they probably hit it with a toy or something.

I've never had this happen before so I have no idea what caused it or if it can be fixed....?

ETA: This pic was taken with the cable turned off. We can still get a picture and watch it, it just has these lines going through it.

Is it a lcd or plasma screen? if plasma you need a new tv, if an lcd just call the manufacturer and tell them you need a new screen, they Will tell you what needs to be done.

they broke your screen.    It cost me 350 to get a new screen for my 55 inch and 150 for them to install it.   It was cheaper than buying a new tv tho.    Kids can break some stuff.  lol

I'm not sure with that brand, my Sharp did it by its self and we had Geek Squad out 5x's to fix it (it wasn't Geek Squads fault) Sharp kept sending us broken/non working or wrong parts. Best Buy just ending up exchanging it. It wasn't worth fixing.
