1 mom liked this

i make the best mac n cheese. it's a mix of my mom's and grandmother's recipes. it is the best ever. i have posted it in an expecting group then i realized i have never shared it with anyone. so here it is.

warning it is not healthy!

1 box large shells half boiled and drained

1 bag each shredded sharp white cheddar, orange cheddar, and cheese of choose

1 small container feta! this is a must!

mix pasta and cheeses on a butter casserole dish

add milk, i do this by eye and like it to look wet maybe a cup more or less lol

half a stick real butter cut up mix in and on top

salt and pepper to taste

tiny dash nutmeg!!! this is a must

bake at 350 covered until bubbling hot cook higher to make it faster

stir and add milk if needed.

if you like tomatoes add a small can of crushed tomatoes with garlic bake again until bubbling

top with seasoned bread crumbles or crushed up ritzs crackers

back until golden

you dont have to add the tomatoes n use bread crumbs instead. i ran pout of bread crumbs n they worked in a pinch

feta adds a salty creaminess and the nutmeg brings out the cheese more
