I don't see why y'all so happy to work so much! **UPDATE**

Posted by   + Show Post

I really don't. I don't see why any one would want to work 7 days a week to support their family?
And why you would then say this system is great.. The old line that there are oppurtunites for everyone is ridiculous, because there really isn't. That's why so many people go to university, end up not being able to get their job and get a minimum wage job, not make ends meet and be assualted for needing help to survive... bearing in mind that they work full time, thats ALOT of hours

Are you really going to be happy, even if you're not on PA, dieing knowing that all you did was work work and work just to make ends meet? weather you're wealthy or poor, what quality of life is that? Why would you want this? Why do you argue to keep this?

It's just wrong. And then you all stand and support the rich, they people who work very little, holiday for most of the year and you stand and defend them. Wow. It's just unbelievable!

Wow, you all are a fiery lot! Any way

FYI.. i'm not on PA

Pretty much ALL of you missed the point to be honest... but that's ok, according to you all i'm the stupid one :/ being as you all want to work and that's how u love spending your life.

Thank you for all the lovely insults and name calling thrown my way, while you guys had fun doing that I was out enjoying the weather :)

One last point. I really think humanity has hit an all time low being that every one is so selfish and you all just think of your selves. Do you realise 1 million families are now homeless in Americe? But that's ok, because oppurtunites are there for everyone... smdh!

You ladies are not nice people, it's amazing how many resulted to name calling, yes, I have a very different oppinion to a lot of you, but you should try and understand what it is I am saying before you get all defensive!

haha, yea they are the same thing :), though porridge is finer that oatmeal and is just plain oats, it doesn't have anything added to it like cinnamon, we add milk and sugar to porridge, though I think you just add water?

Quoting thenameshailie:

OP, totally off topic but I think from what I gather from your posts that you must be in the UK somewhere....Is porridge(no idea if that is the correct spelling) the same thing as oatmeal?

I use quick oats, they cook in one minute. The directions say you can use milk or water, I usually do milk, brown sugar and cinnamon.

I'm a mid-level manager, working side by side with entry level employees as well as CEOs/VPs. They work way more hours & days than the min wage/entry level employees, by far and away.

You clearly are spouting off on something you know little about.

I really must try it with cinnamon, ours don't come with instructions usually, it's just a plain bag that says "Rolled Oats" that we turn into porridge :D

People are assuming because of this statement, you are saying people shouldn't work but stay home be on welfare with their kids. I didn't get that at all!  There is a difefrence in working 40 hours a week and 60. I have a 40 hour a week job. Sometimes over time is available.... I could decide to take it or not and spend time with my son...  Which is more important? MY SON! I don't need the OT, it is nice, but not needed. My son NEEDS me. My work needs me to, but they can survive.  Right now I am taking on way more then I can handle because I am geting married and need the extra money just in case... But after the wedding, I am taking an OT break!!  Lol.

Although I usually decide to do over time when he is at his dad's. I feel that is a good opportunity for me to make a little extra cash.

Um... I am happy to work full time because then I am bringing in money to support my family, so that we have a home to spend time together in on my days off, and they are fed and well cared for. I am happy to work full time because I know some people can't, and that is unfortunate. Why be ungrateful for having the ability to work and support the family that you created?

Life isn't all about sunshine. You have to work to get there, and even then you can't just let it go. You have to work to maintain what you have, and if you don't then you don't deserve it.

Its really good. If we dont have milk I will cook them with water and put a few scoops of icecream on them instead :) You can buy flavored kind here and microwave kind but I always get the plain stove top kind so I can do more with it.
