I'm the man in our marriage?

Posted by   + Show Post
I work on the car, fix pipes, mow the lawn...things like that. I offered to change the tire on her car and she gasped. Apparently, I am taking away my husband's manhood by knowing how to take care of myself if needed. Do you think it's wrong to do these things instead of having my husband do it?

I know how to do those things if I ever needed to but my husband takes care of them so I don't have to.

Why be all for traditional roles? It makes no sense. If you like cooking and cleaning, fine, but why insist that other women have to do it and not mow the lawn if they prefer. Stupid.

Well, I'm all for traditional roles. I'm a sahm who does all the cooking and cleaning. However, I also like working outside and seeing lasting results. Cooking and cleaning doesn't last long, lol

Quoting supercarp:

Of course not. The more intelligent and educated a couple is the more likely they are not to be stuck in the traditional roles.
