We were together for 5 months... We got married when we had been together 10 months. But When we got together we decided we would either get married within the year or breakup; neither of us wanted to waste our time.

We knew each other/had been dating for three months when he proposed. We were married three months after that. I don't think there is a set number, it depends on each couple.

6 months. It worked for me, I don't really care what other people do. To each their own, as long as everyone involved is happy, it's all good.

We got engaged about a year and a half after we met, but the first 10 months were long distance.
