This is a pic of me at age 5 with my little brother and sister. Can you tell we didn't have much growing up? Or does it just look like a nornal childhood pic to you?

This pic was used by some summer missionaries to recruit people to my town for vacation bible school. I didn't have a lot growing up, but I wasn't hungry so I guess I had more than many kids in this world.

Feel free to post pics of your own childhood...

I can't tell. We were very, very poor. That's why I work so hard--my kids will never know what it's like to go to bed hungry, or not have clothes, or live in filth like Hoarders. They will never have the childhood I did.

No, weren't poor. But I had a mother who didn't want to grew up. It's a shame she was 35 when she had me.

We had our eletricity shut off a few times, but not for long. We did have a plumbing problem most of my life. We had to empty the tub by hand and rarely flush the toilet (gross, I know).

Yes, we were poor. My father's life choices made us that way, he was offered a job at Harley Davidson but turned it down to work in a low paying factory. He suffers from anxiety and didn't want to drive more than 5 miles for work. Then he purposely chose a house that was falling apart and cheaply made because he demanded a full basement to play dartball in.
