I think it is stupid honestly. I get it is sad, but they knew they were pregnant for 1-2 weeks. At that point you cannot een see it on an ultrasound and such or hear the heart beat. Ane you could have been only 4 weeks maybe 5 because date of conception is so hard to figure out.
