for me, it would be getting hit by an 18 wheeler, luckily he was going very slow.  my car was mangled but I walked away with nothing, not even a scratch

When my son was born sick  :(   I was holding a  breathing tubby cuz they short handed atthe hospital while they put heart paddles on my son.   I was saying goodbye to him in my head right  there.

Having a pulmonary embolism at age 19. The day after SO deployed & DS was only 3 months old. Luckily I was staying with my parents & had lots of family to help. But nearly dying is scary.

I got bit by a dog when I was 18 and when I was 24 we had a torado go behind our trailor about 20 feet it was only an F1 so it only took out some trees and knocked over our grill.

being held hostage in a grocery store hold up for more than 4 hours by a strung out man with a knife. I still remember looking over my left shoulder and seeing the sniper hiding behind the soda machine out the window
my motorcycle accident
the brake failure on my truck and rear ending a stopped car while going 35mph

The Virginia Maryland sniper. One of the shootings happened at the mall I worked near.
