Before passing on information please make sure it is correct. The FBI has not released the photos to the public yet. The photos going around are not correct

No, the FBI have not released the photos but the images circulating were doing so BEFORE sources said the FBI had two suspects, who were identified from multiple images.

That does not make these images correct. Until they are released we shouldn't assume these are who they are talking about. I am making a statement. It's called people could be misinformed.

Just because the FBI didn't release the photos to the public doesn't mean they didn't release them to the police and someone leaked them to the press. Leaks are a common thing. The posting points out that the authorities are circulating the pics not some internet hero.

According to investigators they're looking for a white male who wore a white baseball cap backwards, gray hoodie and black jacket.

I understand but I was merely pointing out that these images were being speculated upon prior to information being given that the FBI had identified two suspects from images.

With any thing of this type, there is going to be misinformation because there are so many theories, thoughts and speculations circulating.

That also means the ones going around could be wrong.

The government isn't exactly the most trustworthy source of information.

Can you update with that news story. Everyone from CNN to the Boston Globe are reporting 2 men carrying backpacks.

Very similar to what happened in the chaos of newtown. Someone leaked the name of who they thought the shooter was and that poor guy was blasted all over the media and news and come to find out a few hours later it wasn't him but his brother.

I'm with the op on this, it's wrong and could actually be dangerous for those two men to speculate they are the ones that planted the bombs. What happens when someone decides it must be them and tracks them down and confronts them only to find out later those two men aren't the ones that did it?

How would any of you guys like to have your face plastered all over the Internet blamin you for something you didn't do? It's the Internet, those pictures will never go away.

How about we act responsible and wait for law enforcement to tell us who their suspects are?
