what i mean is say you get paid tomorrow. Will you write a check today  because you know the funds will cover it tomorrow? Curious especially this day and age where were living paycheck to paycheck.

Yeah, fortunately our landlord is cool with post-dated checks, so when DH's payday falls a few days after the end of the month I date the check for payday.

I have had to do it knowing the money would be there by the time the check cleared.

yes, if i get paid on Monday, I have no problem writing it on Friday.

Nope, wait until the money is there. What of something happend and you dont get your check tomorrow? Or what happend if your check was somehow less tham what it should have been?

Yep.  Many times.  Never fails my electric is due 1 to 2 days before my check gets direct deposited.

Good lord, I'm going to sound like a politician, but not that I can remember recently.  LOL

Maybe back in the 90's it could have happened. :-)

But now checks go through straigtaway.  Too risky.
