Is this impressive for a two year old?

She picked up a tennis racket in my mom's yard and was looking for the "birdie". I couldn't believe she remembered what it was called. Whe hadn't even mentioned it since last summer when she was one. Idk, but I was impressed anyway lol.

Kids hear, and absorb everything.

Then, they turn into parrots.

She should remember it. If not, I would be concerned.

We haven't talked about it in almost a year and they barely ever call it a birdie at my moms.

Lol. I think it's pretty normal. My son is two and randomly remembers things from over a year ago. When he first did it, I kept telling my mom he was a genius. HA!!

Could be. A year is a long time developmentally for a child that age. Maybe it stuck in her head.

My almost two year old is following three step directions that my 5 year old has trouble with. I'm impressed with that.

Don't you mean a bad mitten racket? They don't call it a birdie in tennis.
