how long does it take to grieve the death of someone you love? i lost my Papa yesterday and i cant seem to hold it together. i have prayed to get through it but my husband wont even let me drive. he says im too upset to drive. this man was my world. he was the only person who always accepted me and loved me no matter what.

Love says, i sacrifice myself for the other person.

Abortion says, i sacrifice the other person for myself.

I still grieve for my best friend.

She died 4 years ago.

I'm sorry for your loss. Peace and love.

I don't know. I've never really lost anyone yet :( When my Grandpa goes, I fear I'll never be the same. I'm sorry for your loss <3

I still miss my grandmother terribly. She died 9 years ago. The pain subsides but I don't think I am over it yet.

It took me a year to stop dreaming of my cousin in his casket after he died.

There isn't a time-frame on how long a person should grieve and because we all grieve differently from how long until we move on to HOW we grieve to begin with.

My condolences go out to you. :( ***Hugs***

I lost my father at 9 (even though he basically "checked out" of our relationship when I was 7).. I've been pretty jaded toward death ever since. I grieve, but not like other people..

Every person is different. There is no set time for grieving. I hope you get to the point where you can live your life again very soon.

January will be 10 years since my dad died and I still break down every once in awhile. It took me years to start grieving though because I was trying to be strong for my family and holding all the weight on my shoulders. The birdhouse project is a book for grieving and it helped me more than I expected. I'm so sorry for your loss.
