No I was a kind, caring, person with their own life prior to children . Yes they enhanced my life and made it way better but it was pretty darn good before too.

Not me, but I know damn well its true for Dh. He is bipolar. If it wasn't for me and his kids he'd have committed suicide years ago.

I definitely feel that way at times, lately more than not.  I know it will pass, it's just a rough time, but when I'm at my worst it definitely helps knowing that my kids need me.

When I got pregnant with dd1 I was very young and stupid. I know for sure that if I would not have had her when I did, I probably would have killed myself or wound up in jail. I do believe she saved my life. She made me grow up and for once I had to live for someone else besides myself. I grew up and became a much better person. Now that I am almost twice as old as I was and 3 more kids later, I am very glad I was able to stick it out and get better!
