Get over it!

Sometimes one of my kids freaks out about the position of the sock on her foot. Another one doesn't like the way a certain shirt feels on his chest. And the last one doesn't like tomatoes.

Sensory disorders? No...get over it. You'll be ok.

How often are these types of things being misdiagnosed *really*? How overly diagnosed do you think disorders are...sensory disorders, autism spectrum, add, adhd?....Do you think there are far less of these kids in actuality and parents are after a diagnosis for just a more difficult child...out of laziness or the "snowflake syndrome" (where their child is a special snowflake who can do no wrong and there must be an excuse for this behavior)?

Be honest.

I don't doubt the doctors make mistakes, I mean, they're humans.
I also think mistakes don't happen often with doctors.

All I know is my children ARE on the spectrum and DO have sensory issues.

Because the parents want attention...I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's difficult having a special needs child really difficult. It's not something I brag about...ever...

And now I'm singin' The Eagles..

Sensory disorders are quite real.. Although I won't weigh in on the possibility of being over diagnosed... I don't have a medical degree.

1 mom liked this
I only deal with my children. And when one of them started to starve herself because of sensory issues, I paid attention...
