My son (20 months) just woke up. As I was changing him I saw these marks on the back of his neck/shoulders. Any idea what it could be? Should I take him to the doctor?

I've never been good at distinguishing rashes or anything of that nature. Do they itch? Burn? Are they welted? Dry?

CALL THE DOCTOR!  it could be an allergic reaction to something or nothing, but don't post on CM and ask if you should see a doc, just go do it.

Bites without a doubt.  Does he sleep on his back or stomach?  If he sleeps on his stomach it's probably mosquitoes.  If he sleeps on his back you may have bigger problems.

looks like mosquito bites that are a around 6 hours old -  wash with vinegar and then apply anti itch cream. ( if you don't have anti itch cream put a little bit of mashed banana on them.)

My first thought was bug bites but since he's so young, I'd probably take him to the pediatrician just to be sure.

They don't seem to be bothering him at all.
