Tattoos that are spelt wrong?

I don't understand how this happens. I have three tattoos, but have been there when friends and family have gotten theirs. They always put the tattoo on the paper thing and put the outline on your body before starting to actually ink you. They have always asked me if I like the placement, size, and if it's spelt correctly. So please can you explain how people end up with a misspelt tattoo?

I have a tattoo with a name on it and they asked beforehand if it was right...

Loli you did this just so you could rub it in people's faces that "spelt" is correct, didn't you?

I think if the person getting the tattoo can't spell, having them check to be sure it's correct is pointless.

Because they can't spell. My husband has one like that. I make fun if him for it all the time. He went alone so he didn't have anyone to double check.

Perhaps other people are not as diligent and that's how words are not spelled correctly.  It's a real problem since that tattoo is going to be pretty permanent.  That's one reason tattoos might be a bad idea in generalif it's related to one person or thing which could change.
