Is that really so odd? My oldest nursed til she was 4, so Breastfeeding a 3 yr old just doesn't seem like a big deal to me. But everyone seems to have an opinion about it. Good or bad, people are not shy about letting me know what they think. What do you think?

It's unusual, so some people are going to find it odd. I think it's great. :)

I really don't care what others do. I am all for breastfeeding.

I don't think it's right at all but I don't care what others do.

I don't care what you do with your kid, but that is not for me. I nursed till my oldest was 14 months. My second had to wean at 6 months.

Not a big deal. My son just finished up bfing, he also just turned 3. He had boob the day before he turned 3 then didn't want any until a few days ago (a month and a half since his bday). He gave it a go then came off and said there is nothing there. A few hours later, tried the other side but same result. Makes me sad that he has weaned lol but oh well, that's life.

My 10 year old still nurses every once in a while.

I see nothing wrong with it.

Not odd to me. It's NORMAL :) we just live in a formula and pharmaceutical ridden country.

To each their own, it doesn't bother me. I don't know if I would do it that long, but there is nothing that is bad about it, its good for the child. It does get a little freaky to me when they get over 4, especially the ones that were like 13 and still breastfed. I think once they are in school its time to stop breastfeeding.
