Well...you can't hit just any kid.
You can't hit your neighbor's kid, or a strange kid in the supermarket.
It is only "your" child that it's acceptable.
So that should put it in perspective.
We don't make it illegal for parents to use spaking for disciplinary purposes on their own children, even if it's not allowed for anyone else.
