            LATTICE METHOD

               for multiplication

Just to clear some things up:

*Yes, this was ' fuckery ' at first

*No, I'm not opposed to new methods of learning

*Yes, I understand it now

Are your children learning this in school? Do they understand it? Or are they using other methods instead?

               HERE'S THE HOW TO BELOW

Lattice method starts at about :43

****UPDATE****   Well since this got commented on again, I'll just go ahead and update it and say that BOTH of my dds are doing GREAT with this method. They are much better with lattice versus partial products, which is another one they are being taught.

Sadly, I don't have the money to put both of my dds in private schools.

Quoting 1Percent:

Put your kid in private schools.

The people who come up with these stupid curriculum's and sell them are the only ones benefiting from this bullshit.

 I've seen this..

And was shown how to do it a few years ago..  I didn't find it difficult, but I found it unnecessary.  I'd need a quick refresher to do it properly again.

What the actual fuck?! Whoa, never seen that. I hope my kids don't learn this way when they're in school. I'll have no clue lol xD.

Eff me, I hope not. I hated math when i had to do it for myself, and my feelings haven't changed since.

Every time i help ds2 with his math, I just think "Who knows... maybe I'll actually get it this time around" Lol

My daughter is also doing this and she is in 3rd grade. I find it beneficial. They teach her both methods and the latticce seemsto work out well for her.
