At work earlier we were talking about boys having their ears pierced. My son doesnt have his done. Hubby says no BC he never had his done or his dad, grandpa and so forth. I don't care either way. What do you think

I feel like this was more of a "thing" for boys when I was a kid..

I don't see many boys with pierced ears now...

I wouldn't be thrilled if my son asked..  But I couldn't deny it, his sisters' have theirs done..

I had this argument with my husband already. My kid wont get his pierced until he is old enough to go himself. I  personally do not care for pierced ears in boys. My husband said it had something to do with his tribe? LOl im not buying it.

1 mom liked this

Not in this family.  Our daughters have each been given the choice for ONE hole in each ear....our sons will NOT be allowed to pierce anything.  Once they are on their own, they can do what they want.  But, while under our roof - they will follow OUR rules.

SO has both his done. Idk which ear is the "good" ear, but my boys don't be getting theirs done anyway.

As long as they live in my house or my husbands house they will not have anything pierced. If god wanted them to have holes in there body's he would have put it there

I'm open to piercings in general so no big deal for me.

My son has both his ears pierced.  He did his first ear on  his own, his friend did it with a safety pin.  I was pissed, but decided to choose my battles and if this was the worst thing he did (it has been so far to my knowledge) I was doing ok.  I took him to get his other one pierced when he turned 16.  I felt he was old enough to make his decisions and take care of them.  We haven't had any issues.

I'm ok with it. If they want it then I'll let them get it done.
