I am going to have a friend of my nephews babysit for me. She is a junior in high school. She will be babysitting my 4 yo and almost 3 yo daughters. What would be a good hourly rate for her?

Depends on where you are. I know around here it would be about $10/hour for a high school kid. For someone older and with more experience it would be $15-20/hour.

And this is for a high school student to do some occasional babysitting?

1 mom liked this
It's a friend of mine in her mid 20's. She watches the kids for a few hours in the afternoon a couple days a week while i work. My mom takes over when she gets off work. I have 3 kids.

We live in a small, low- medium income town. When I was in high school, living in the same town, I got paid 2.50/ hour for watching 2 kids. That was about half of what minimum wage was.
