I don't think its an age thing. I think its mentally stable, mature and financially independent is what people should take into account.
Physically, 19. Mentally, 30.
I think I chose a really good age - 26 with my first, 28 with my second. Young enough to have the energy to keep up with small children, more settled in life than I was in my early 20s, financially and emotionally stable, and on the other end when the kids are grown I won't be too old to enjoy my empty-nest years. For me it was the best time. Others hit that point earlier or older, so YMMV.
In your 70's of course
I got married on my 20th birthday, we bought our first home, remodeled it and travelled. Had my first at 27, second at 29, 3rd at 31 and 4th before I was 33. I think being well prepared and stable in your marriage is the best time to have a baby.
