Would you hire/rent to a woman with...?

A 6 year old misdemeanor conviction of domestic violence on their record? Lets say it was the only thing on the record, ever. Would you even give her a chance at an interview for the job? Would you turn away the rental application? Why/why not?

I think I would give her a chance. I would want an explanation of what happened and what not, sometimes things aren't what they seem.

Depends on type of job. If it wasn't working with little kids or some other close up personal job. Then Yes I would hire her. I would hope and pray she matured in the 6 years. Everyone needs a chance.

There's a charge. Is there a conviction?

I would rent to her if everything else checked out. Hiring her would depend on the type of job. I would treat her no differently than a male with the same criminal history.

I'd give her a chance. Find out what happened exactly. Six years is a while back and if there's NOTHING else on her record I would give her a shot.
