Currently separated from my husband, going through a divorce....I have our son every night, every morning....and every weekend (I work Mon-Thur 8:30am-5:15pm and Friday 8:30am-6:15pm)...he has our son 2-3 hours Mon-Fri everyday after school...that is it...when is my break...I never get one, he was supposed to tell his job that he needed a change in his hours so that he could have our son on a few occassions on weekends...because I deserve a break......yet he hasn't, so I was supposed to go out with a friend tonight and because he didn't want to be a responsible adult..I don't get a break.....

Welcome to Motherhood. No breaks included. Didn't you read the contract?

That's what motherhood is often about. Do you have any friends or family who could take your child for a few hours?

Let the X have custody if your son is that much of a bother. *rolls eyes*

Being a mom is a 24/7 job, no breaks, no sick days off, no vacations. I have been a single mom for three years. I did when, I was sick with a fever over 101 and I didn't complain.
I got two dinners, two baths, two bed times.
Sure we went to bed early but hey do what you gotta do.

Being a mother doesn't mean you don't also have a social life.......
