it is okay if you give up your baby within 72 hours at a fire department, police station, etc.  without criminal charges. i get that. and i understand it.

this might be a stupid question, but why the 72 hour limit?

ask Nebraska

They initially didn't put a limit on their safe haven law, they had people driving from out of state to drop off their pre-teens that were out of control, etc
