Looking to ease my mind here. I've had a small cyst, about the size of a pea, in one of my breasts for a few years now. I went to my annual in January and no change. Lately it's felt firmer, so I made an appt for yesterday and found that it's grown in size, to about 4 centimeters, and attached to another small cyst, and now I have small cysts in my other breast as well. My doc scheduled an ultrasound for me.
I'm in my mid to late 20s. Fibrocystic breasts are common in my family, but I also have a relative who died from breast cancer in her 30s. Now I'm nervous that the cyst was misdiagnosed to begin with. Does this sound like a normal fibrocystic progression? Or something worse?
