The news is discussing schools will begin providing evening and weekend meals for kids on the free program starting this fall. This is in addition to breakfast and lunch 5 days a week now.

WHY THE FUCK DO THESE FAMILIES NEED FOOD STAMPS IF THEY DON'T EVER HAVE TO FEED THEIR KIDS?

some people who cant get food stamps still struggle to feed their family sometimes and the often only make a little over the cut off.....So i can see how that might help them.

I provide for my child. It's called working my ass off on the weekends and sometimes during the week.

I'm not sure that I care as long as the kiddos aren't going hungry...

If this isn't becoming a socialist country than I don't know what is.

While I would have worded it with less anger it is a good question why a family who qualifies for FS and free lunch at school would need additional free food for the time outside of school.

However, not all kids who qualify for free food at school get FS.
