DH and I were going to take DD to the park as a surprise picnic. It started getting late, and DD was hungry. I didnt want to spoil the surprise by telling her 'you cant eat yet' she would catch on to that!

DH wanted to take a shower.

I told him 'no you had one last night, just get dressed, its just the park with your family, you are still clean'

So he starts to get dressed, im brushing DDs hair.

And i hear the shower turn on.

Great.

Im not even pissed about the shower.

Its the fact that i specifically told him we were leaving soon because DD was hungry, and he didnt have time for a shower.

Now we have to sit here and wait for him to get done!

I feel like i want to just take DD myself!! and leave his ass here.

Do I have a right to be upset here?

*UPDATE**

Wow lots of replies. Ok so I'm glad some of you get what upset me. But some of you way over reacted to my post. I didn't start a fight I didn't throw a fit. It annoyed me. And i love how some women pretend that because of the term 'i told him' that means i am some controlling dominant bitch, when the opposite is actually true.

And yea some men can take 30 mins showers believe it or not.

Dd was fine and we are all at the park having a blast. DH and I talked about it and we both apologized to eachother. So no problems

No I wouldn't be too happy he should have taken a shower earlier.

You're being an idiot. Give your kid a small snack.
I don't leave my house until I've had a shower, done my hair and put makeup on. I don't care if I'm just running errands.
He wanted to shower, no play video games.

Just let it go. Don't sweat the small things.

Probably just and off day. I dont think you should make a huge to do about it. just give the kid a snack and wait till hes done. Dont ruin your nice family day because of him being inconsiderate.

Yes. You're being petty. Give her a handful of goldfish to hold her over and let him take a shower. If my DH "told me I couldn't shower", I'd laugh in his face. I'm not a child. Neither is your husband.
