I understand that a cholic infant can wake up screaming ande crying. But can gas still affect our toddlers the same way?

I put my LO in bed and 45 m later, he woke up crying and screaming. I tried to calm him down and I could tell he had gas issues. I tried for 45 m to calm him down but nothing.

So we went to the living room and sat on the couch and all light were still off.he kept crying for sometime and then he pointed at my jacket and at the door. I asked him if he wanted to go out and he said yes. So we went for a ride and after 30 m he fell asleep but at least he didnt cry during the 30 m ride.

he is a great sleeper and he never woke up like that so I have no idea if it was gas or if he needed a ride.

aany input?

thanks
