This was her kids dinner....

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
My roomate and I make seperate dinners for our children. I make complete meals. Tonight baked chicken, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. Before she left do what ever she does and leave me to sit she made her kids broccoli, cheese and watermelon... I feel the meals she makes are not real meals. What do you think of this meal

That would drive me crazy.

We keep our expenses seperate. Cook seperate just the way its been

It's missing a healthy protein.

Why do you make seperate meals? I would offer to make dinner for everyone. Do you share groceries?

Quoting TheDoctorsWife:

Doesn't cheese have protein?

Quoting mich.el.le:

It depends on what she feeds them the rest of the day. What she fed them is commpletely lacking protein, but if she feeds them protein at breakfast and lunch or snacks then I think it's fine.

It does, but I guess I was thinking it was like a slice of cheese and that's it. lol

What's wrong with spaghetti? Or Mac and cheese for that matter? We are having Mac and cheese tonight homemade with real cheese milk and noodles. It's baking in the oven right now.

Quoting Anonymous:

Most of the week its mac and cheese or spaghetti.

Cheese can be substituted for protein. The veggies and fruit are also good.

No never boxed. Yuk.

Quoting Anonymous:

They are all healthy foods. I don't see the problem, maybe they had a late lunch. I would never feed my kids mashed potatoes, assuming you mean the kind from a box, so it just goes to show that we all parent differently.

Cheese has good protein. Broccoli has more protein, per calorie, than steak.
